PRIVACY POLICY
This policy explains what happens to personal data when you visit raisebox.io or write to us. It is written to be read, not to be waded through. If anything here is unclear, email us and we will explain it.

WHO WE ARE
RAISEBOX, Lda. is a STEM deeptech education studio at Taguspark, Oeiras, Portugal. We are the controller of the personal data described below, which means we decide why and how it is used.

WHAT THIS SITE COLLECTS
This website has no contact forms, no newsletter sign-up, no user accounts, no comments, and no analytics or advertising trackers. We do not build profiles of visitors and we do not sell or share data for marketing.
One thing still happens whenever a web page is opened, here as on any site:
SERVER LOGS
Our web server records each request: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page, and your browser’s identification string. These records exist to keep the site running and secure, for example to investigate errors or abuse. They are deleted automatically after 14 days.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
NO OUTSIDE SERVICES
Everything this site needs, including its typefaces, is served from our own server. Your browser contacts nobody else while the page loads, so no third party learns that you visited us.
This matters because many websites load fonts, maps or scripts from other companies, which passes visitors’ IP addresses to them. This site does not.
COOKIES
This site sets no tracking, advertising or analytics cookies, which is why you see no cookie banner. WordPress sets cookies only for people who log in to administer the site, and those cookies are strictly necessary for that purpose.
IF YOU EMAIL US
When you write to hi@raisebox.io we receive your email address, your name if you give it, and whatever you tell us. We use it to answer you and to keep a record of our correspondence. We keep such messages for as long as the enquiry is relevant, and normally no longer than three years.
Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into an agreement, or our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
Our email is hosted by a third-party email provider acting on our instructions. We do not use the address you write from for marketing.
YOUNG PEOPLE
Our programmes are for people aged 12 and up, but this website is not aimed at children and asks nobody for personal details. Where a parent or guardian contacts us about a young person, we handle that correspondence as described above.
YOUR RIGHTS
Under the General Data Protection Regulation you may ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, object to our use of it, and ask to receive it in a portable form. Write to legal@raisebox.io and we will answer within one month.
If you believe we have handled your data badly, you may complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD).
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
If we add anything that collects data, such as a contact form or a newsletter, we will update this policy before it goes live and change the date at the top.
